It Would Have Been Phuket This Weekend
I had applied my leave in early March even though it had not been confirmed. Even though the supposed travel mate was sceptical in going for a holiday just us two, I applied anyway because I was very determined and was hoping that she would change her mind but one thing led to another and she had to go Melbourne for some registrations.
Oh well! Oh well! Things happen for a reason - Tsunami might be happening sooner than predicted (27 July 2009!) or mishaps might happen to me as there were a lot of paranoia issues being brought up!
Of course I am disappointed and bitter about the cancellation as I really need a holiday (KL is not considered as a holiday because it was too short and KL is so similar to Singapore!) and it's supposed to be a mega celebration for our 10th year together which was planned about a year ago.
A friendship that has no arguments at all in 10 years is a BIG DEAL and something to be proud of BIG TIME. I am sulking and I am damn petty when it comes to such things!
However, something led me to take out a picture of us that was taken 10 years ago. One of our first few dates at Marina Square after a school event - our first Polaroid taken in an awkward situation. Why awkard? You'll find out in the next paragraph.
If only I have a scanner at home, you readers would be able to see just how 'unglamourous' we looked 10 years ago with a huge crocodile on our laps and on top of the said crocodile, there was another reptile which I think was an iguana. She is quite an animal person but I hate animals and having made to hold the mouth end was so scary! It took us awhile to take just one shot.
Another picture that I took out and then showed around to my mum and Bibik was another Polaroid taken at Sentosa with a fat cobra this time. Again, if only I have a scanner, you people would be able to see the drastic changes in us - be it the amount of make up applied or the amount of kilograms we had put on along the years. Not forgetting our likings in bright colours as well.
As upset as I am, I still wanna wish us a HAPPY TEN YEARS OF FRIENDSHIP!

P.S I still have that magazine holder you gave me...in case you can't remember which one, it's the one made of cardboard and which you won from some games. You gave it to me cause you didn't wanna carry it home. Heh!
Things happen for a reason
