It Was A Great Saturday With Great Companies!
Last Saturday was a memorable one. A good friend got married. What's really ironic is the fact that this friend of mine named Ain was from the same school as me and we were sort of like enemies in school. Not the kind of enemies that beat each other up but the kind where we hated each others' guts and probably talked like 5 times (or less) in that 4 years in Chai Chee Secondary School.
Let's not get into details as to why we were not on talking terms cause it's really over some silly issues. Heh!
Thanks to Friendster and Multiply, we came in contact again. Coincidentally the school decided to have a reunion which was crap by the way but after which we went for coffee with the rest - Lynn, Ayeesha, Nani and a few others. That was when we started to catch up on things in our lives.
Ain and I became MSN buddies right after and clicked right away. We even had 1 or 2 meeting sessions alone and phone calls here and there and yeah we definitely have great chemistry and think alike. Her imaginations are as weird as mine. Hahaha!
So anyways she got married to Remko (who happens to be a Malay in disguise - he loves most of our traditional food!) last Saturday and I am really glad that I was part of the whole event. Unfortunately I had to give their solemnisation ceremony a miss because Alyaa was leaving on that same night.
However, Nani and I dropped by her place right after Airport and she was telling us Remko went through it once. What's really sweet was he said all those vows in Malay. Apparently he had been practicing it for 3 months. I think that is really sweet. For the record, he does not speak Malay.
Unfortunately (AGAIN), i missed watching the groom 'bertandang' because.......Nani and I got into a minor accident on the way to the wedding. We both had great shocks though mine was a bit later than hers. Hehehe! If you had seen someone in Kebaya running around at the exit just before entering Tampines, that was me!
The reception was like a mini reunion of Chai-cheeans from different batches. It was nice seeing all of them again.
The bride and groom were clad in a pink Songket for that ceremony and they looked good in pink.

Went home and rushed to be ready on time for dinner. The venue of the dinner was really nice and I really had fun there. At the end of the night, Ain and I got emotional. We both had tears in our eyes. It was sweet babe and if only we were friends since school days. :)
Picture above was taken during their dinner ceremony. Dress was designed by the bride herself.

After dinner, we all went to Movida including the bride's maids. In their bride's maids dresses. Hahaha!
They left early though but I had my friends and Ziyad there. They made my Saturday even more perfect. It's been awhile since I had a perfect Saturday...
