I've always envied those people who got surprise parties from their loved ones - I always wondered if there would be just one person who would go all means to give me a surprise party.
Again, I was blindfolded. This time was even worst - from my void deck all the wayto Downtown East and that's not all. I had a crown, sash on me and had to hold a wand all the way till we got to our unit. My goodness!
Once we got out of the car, Nani and TB escorted me from the car park and for the record, Nani was not a good escort ok. Along the way, Lina took over. I could tell it was her cause of her giggles.
That babe even made a fool out of me ok! She made me walk into circles and made me go up and down the kerbs! Chet!
As I was walking blindly - literally, I had flashes flashing at me and heard people giggling. Myn and a few others were taking my pictures - candid pictures. I gotta admit, I felt like a celebrity for a moment! Muahahaha!
We stopped walking for awhile and that's when I got sprayed by that thingy (I don't know what you call that) and they were popping that thing right at my face!(again, I don't know what it's called). Oh ya! At the same time, my current favourite song, No One was the background music. How sweet is that??!! They played it upon my arrival!
I was finally permitted to take off the blindfold and only GOD knows how touched I was to see all those people complete with their eye mask in front of me - singing the birthday song.
I smiled even wider when I saw my birthday cake - that's the coolest cake I've ever seen!
Thank you once again to the organisers especially Nani and TB who were the main masterminds. Mr Man for the CD compilations of my favourite songs, to that other Man-In-Blue for coming back just on time and bringing back the donuts and of course the portrait as well. Thanks to Yanto and Wani for being there - it was indeed a surprise. Ok! I shall stop thanking cause it sure sounds like a speech. Basically, I am really thankful to those that made it happen!

A week later, I celebrated it with Fidz. It was a quiet, simple pre and post celebration. We 'cooked', ate, ate and ate again, watched DVDs, slept through the movies, woke up, binged, napped through the movies again.
So that's how I celebrated my 26th birthday with my loved ones...
P.S Am I blessed or am I soooo blessed since I've got more than 1 person who would go all the way for me??? *smirks*

They ordered food for me. I could smell the aroma of the good food but evil them didn't allow me to take off the blindfold still. Not for long though.
When I took off the blindfold, I was still clueless where I was till I saw the Night Safari signage. The ambiance of the eating place was superb!
We took the tram ride after dinner and it was a nice experience. Also, we were the noisiest on that tram that night! Haha!
Just when I thought it was over, I was blindfolded again - by Elis this time round. Even the taxi driver were in cahoots with them. He told me that we were heading to Istana! Hmmmph!
I was very curious this time round cause I could see lights everywhere when I got out of the cab and somehow the place 'felt' familiar. Heh!While walking to meet the other 3 girls, my phone kept ringing from those who wanted to wish me - Alyaa was one of them. It was so weird whenever they asked where was I, I had to reply 'I don't know cause I'm being blindfolded now!' Hehe!
For the second time withing hours, I took off my blindfold to a wonderful ambiance and again, I had no freaking idea where I was till Radia told me we were at Pump Room. They sang me the birthday song and the cake was yummy! (Note to Radia - it's 'Q' not 'G' k :P)
I was called up to the stage by Rafi and thank GOD I didn't have to do anything silly. I just had to stand with Jive Talkng and let the patrons guess my age. 3 wrong guesses - 3 glasses of champagne! *smile*
We then danced through the night and had supper at Spize and guess what? We were there till 6am. That broke our record.
Thanks Girls, for being with me for almost 12 hours and taking leave/MC or even change shift the next day just to be with me during the first hours of my birthday. Thank you very much!

I got home at about 7am and was told to be ready by 11am by Aid. I woke up past that time. Called him, he was still sleeping since he was on night shift the night before - the eve of my birthday that is.
We eventually met past noon and he rode all the way to Harbour Front. That somehow simply gave it away - or so I thought. I was only half right. Yes we ended up in Sentosa but we were neither in Shangri-La nor Beaufort. My Gemini brought me to the newly opened Amara Sanctuary, Sentosa. I could not stop saying 'Wow' since the moment I stepped into the room till I stepped out of the bathroom.
Thank you baby for the wonderful time. and of course the wonderful room and of course that wonderful "O"

I got home at almost evening and all I had in mind was to rest in my room. The moment I opened my door I saw something on my bed.
Fidz had those delivered on the actual day. Along came with the flowers were a box of chocolates and a card. I love the words in the card! I thought it was randomly picked but Fidz had assured me that she chose the card as she thought every word of it represents me. Thank you babe! I smiled with an open heart when I read those lines...
That's how I spent on the eve of my birthday and on the day itself. Wait up for part 2! *wink*
