It's The Eating Season

I weighed myself after Ramadhan and I lost 0.6kg! WOW!!!! *roll eyes*

If you ask me to weigh myself again now, I'll pass. I bet I've put on more than what I've lost. I refuse to know and be conscious of what I eat after that. I've been eating like an underweight child who needs to put on weight before her next check up. I eat and eat and eat and not giving a damn of my diet. Why should I? It's Hari Raya - my festive season. I celebrate by eating while hoping to fit into the Kebaya at the same time and styling my hair in such a way which won't make me look so chubby which I know is not possible at most times! *grin*

I've had colleagues commenting that I've gone wider. Even I notice that myself. My tummy looks like as if I'm 3 months pregnant and my butt looks like a 5-room flat, but that's not gonna stop me from stuffing myself with good food. Haha!

What the heck! I'm left with 2 more days till everyone is done with 'opening their houses'. I've got about 5 Open-Houses today and 3 tomorrow. After that, I'm done with the Lontongs, Rendang and chicken wings.

Err...not quite! I still have a Hari Raya Lunch at work end of this month. After that, I'm still not that done with the Eating Period yet cause next up there would be a lot of treats cause it's the Birthday Season!

Superb Black Eye Peas

BEP was superb! Fidz and I are so much in love with them even more now.

It was 10 times better than Gwen's.

Despite Fergie having wet underarms (ketiak basah k), they were perfect! Both of us were oblivious of our surroundings and danced to the music.

They sang 'Shut Up'. That kindda brought me to Memory Lane for a bit cause that song was during the courtship period of EqaiD (Eqa + Aid). I got a little bit emotional when Fergie sang 'Big Girls Don't Cry' with her powerful vocal but I still think she was great. Really great!

The last concert I went that gave me the same 'impact' was Shaggy's and that was about 5 years ago.

Hari Raya In Full Strength

Alhamdulillah. I didn't stain my own kain or even the car seat (bluek to Elis) and my mood was fine! I didn't feel the cramp at all in fact. I just had to make sure I took the antidote every 4 hours.

For the first time, we covered all of our houses (plus 2 houses of our mutual friends) and having all of us right from the beginning to the end. Normally, someone will join later or go home earlier due to work commitments. It was also our first time to end our visitings late. Last house was mine - they left at 2am.

Mum actually waited for us just to let them have freshly cooked Mee Goreng a.k.a Mee Chilli Udang - the Pasir Ris way.

Did we reach Irin's place at 11 am? Hmmmmmmm....*wink to Irin*

Anyways, I'm so excited cause I'll be expecting about 100 guests today. I'm having an open house! Wee Hoo!!!!!

Bad Timing

I'm so excited! I'm going out for visitings with The Girls later. We're to meet at Irin's place at 11 am. Hmmmm.. We shall see what time we'll get there. Elis will be driving the East side girls around. TB will be the directory (she thinks she's good at directions that is) and I will be the Mak Datin seating at the back seat.

All of us are not working today. Some took leave, some changed their off day! Isn't that cool?! There's a bummer though - a major bummer!!! I got my period yesterday! GRRRR!!! I'll be wearing a light coloured Kebaya. What if 'accident' happens? Tampons and pad at one time for prevention perhaps? Hmmm...

Then there's my mood swings! Elis told me to stay home cause she does not want to see me and endure my mood swings. In fact all of them are dreading it - chet! I'm not a monster k! *bluek*

Oh ya! The cramp and the backaches too! Arrrgh!!!! I better not forget my antidote - Irin has already reminded me yesterday!

My GOD!!! They really make me sound like a monster eh! I can't be that disastrous can I....?

An Entry For The 2 Aussie WannabeS

They called every hour on the eve of Hari Raya to ask what's the recipe for Honeyed Cornflakes, let us know that they succeeded in baking them, cooking Rendang etc etc etc. We (the ones back home) concluded they are home-sick!

They called every hour - this time on Hari Raya itself asking what was Mum cooking apart from the must-have Laksa, who was visiting us at that particular moment, what were we doing etc etc etc. We (including our visitors this time) concluded that they are home sick.

They pretty much confirmed our presumption don't you think?

So here's an entry for the both of you - Alyaa Amalina and Raha Abdul Rahman. I shall just let the pictures do the talking and let you both be home sick even more! *evil grin*

The Sound Of Takbir

For the first time I saw Mum cried at the table when we broke fast just now. She pretended to be calm by swallowing the food in her mouth when it was so obvious that she had lost her appetite for a moment. She tried to wipe her tears in discreet which was not possible cause all eyes were on her (even though we tried not to look). After all her attempts, she finally said 'skarang roh-roh semua tengah nangis' and she teared again..

Goodness!!! I was already feeling 'it' the moment I heard the Takbir. I felt it even more when she said that. Me being me, I tried not to cry cause I hate crying in front of people (so if you've seen me cry before, it's an honour ok! Hehehe!) by distracting myself in my own way.

I miss my dad very much! Enough said!

Sudden Rush

I was cleaning my room when the song 'I'd Rather' by the late Luther Vandross came on Class 95. Somehow, that song made me pause a little and Aid came to mind.

And I suddenly miss him and I suddenly had heart thumping sessions and butterflies flying around the stomach while reminiscing how we first met and of course the rush all over again. Heh!

Sincerely, I'd rather have bad times with him than good times with someone else cause he's the most understanding Bf one can ever have...

Hmmm...Eqah in mushy mode! Chet!

3 Days Left

Shit!!! I've got 3 days to finish my chores. Grr!!!

I'm 'sick' today. Aid is not working so I figure I should 'grab' him and we can go around Singapore to collect the Kuihs, visit my 2 friends who just gave birth, meet Watie - for the new notes and the list goes on and on and on...

From my Home Department..or shall I say Room Department (only), I've got so much to do!!! Aid popped up at my place last night and he has helped to remove my blinds and of course he shook his while in the room and gave that certain look before entering it! Chet!

Baby, please wake up early - we've got so much to do!!!

p.s Happy 20th Birthday to my niece who's so faraway! *smiles*

Burnt Flakes

I didn't sleep at all last night. I had to rush the orders of my Honeyed Cornflakes for today.

Guess what happened? My first tray got burnt. Really-really burnt. Not over-baked but burnt!!! Wasted OK! 60 pieces gone to waste just like that or did Mum keep it to feed the people at home who's been asking for 'rejected' kuih raya? Heh!

Shit! It's already noon! I've got loooooottttssss of things to do!

Still On

For a moment I thought the entertainment has ended but nope it hasn't. That woman (I'm not sure if woman is an appropriate word) targets at my bf now. She called him and when he said he was busy, she harassed him with about 7 Minah-ish SMSes.

Fyi, my darling bf reads my blog almost everyday and as you know, this blog of mine is open to public - just like my Multiply. That means, he has read 'Beautiful Mistake' so you can save the trouble to SMS or email him the context. Thanks for the offer though.

I don't know what's your motive in calling him cause if your motive is to break us up, wouldn't that be easier for me and Mahfuz to end up together? That is if we're really having an affair as what you claim.

I suggest you don't do things when you're emotionally disturbed cause it might backfire.

p.s I know you wanna find out more from me. So do I but I will only entertain you when you stop behaving like a mad Minah and grow up a little. Call me again only when you're capable of that...

Bills! Bills! Bills!

It's fun to be going to 3 short trips within a month BUT it's really no fun when you get your bills for that 3 trips in the same month!!!

I'm broke cause my handphone bill amounted to what I used to pay when Aid was in Perth!

I'm frustrated cause the person I thought I could depend on is simply ignorant or pretends to be!

I'm tired cause I've been complaining and whining all along so I'm just gonna Shut Up and go with the flow...
